Happy Independence Weekend!

We were going to visit Eric's sister this weekend, but we were so sad to hear that our niece was ill. We haven't visited them in a while, and were so bummed to not make the trip. So, we decided to visit other family members we haven't visited in a while either. We saw Eric's grandmother and the Johnston side of the family. We also got to see Jennifer and Chris (Jennifer is Eric's first cousin and a good friend of ours from college) I think we figured out it's been two years! It was really nice to catch up with everyone : Rob, Tim, Chris, Jennifer, Donette, Grandma Katie, and even Maggie the dog.

Eric's parents had the house to themselves until we arrived! Eric's mom made a GREAT dinner of steaks, tortallini, corn on the cob, and yummy desserts. She is such a great cook. Eric's brother, Adam, was around to visit too. Rylie just loves Adam. Our other younger nieces love Adam too. There's something about him that kids love! We also got to visit with Eric's grandmother, but not Grandfather. He's had a bad cough and didn't want to spread it.

Today my dad and Linda will be coming for brunch. It'll be nice to visit with them too.

All in all it was a very nice weekend visiting with family! Happy July 4th!
